Stop kidding yourself. 2028 will be here before you know it. I applaud you if you are doing something to inch closer to your fitness goals. Can you do it better? Can you do more? Can you become more consistent? Are you still following an outdated model of fitness? Are you following any of the recent fads? You have been around long enough to see them come and go. We have gone from sitting on exercise machines to “large group beat down sessions.” Both do nothing.
People selling overnight (too good to be true) results come and go. The diet books you are reading now will be gone in 2 to 3 years. They will make a return in 2028 under different names. They will still do nothing. Same with all the supplements. You will lose the same 10lbs over and over again if you follow that “plan”. You will ruin your metabolism and put on more pounds than you “lost”.
The exercise equipment in your garage will continue to collect dust. The large group classes that don’t take the time to understand your specific needs will still be around, different names. They will continue to injure people. Great sales people selling horrible products will still be around. They will cater to people who are already in shape, ignoring the rest. Large gyms with 24/7 access to equipment, but no coaching(unless you pay an arm and a leg) will still not work
The solution? It has been around forever. Coaching + Education+ Accountability +Strong Leaders Yeah, it works. If you don’t designate a time to do something it will never happen. The time to make a change, is now. Stop kidding yourself. Stop saying tomorrow. Stop waiting for the perfect time. Tomorrow will not exist if you don’t do something RIGHT NOW.
