☑️ Detox and skinny Teas?!

We are not going to spend too much time talking about this. This stuff does not work, for long term results. Or even short term results in most cases. In a lot of cases, it’s not even safe. 

It’s not just skinny teas or detox teas, but there are tons of supplements and scams in the fitness industry. 

Stop looking for shortcuts. There are none. Put the work in consistently with proven principles. Have patience. 

☑️Recovery + Boring Basics

The boring stuff allows you to do the fun stuff! 

We live in a highlight reel world. People are showing you a new fancy exercise to get likes. Or the latest diet technique to lose stubborn fat. Cool to watch, but will not work unless you have mastered the boring basics. 

It might be developing a  recovery plan. It might be focusing on the basics of strength training. Blocking out time to prepare meals. Everyone is different. 

Everyone has something they need to do, but never do it. They hate doing it, or can not connect it to their goal. This is probably what will take you to the next level. If you do it consistently. 

For me, it’s the recovery stuff . I can not say that I love to foam roll, stretch, and do mobility drills. 39 feels a little different than when I was 20. 50 and 60 will feel different, but I plan to improve and maintain my ability to move! 

Connect your boring basic to your why! For me, being injury free allows me to be on that training floor more. Get better workouts. Coach more sessions. And of course being hurt or limited is not fun. 

What is your boring basic? The thing you know you need to be doing, but have a hard time doing.

Meal prep?

Going for walks?

Recovery methods?

Grocery shopping ?

Getting more sleep?

Planning your days and weeks?

Build a strong foundation First. It will allow you to stay in the game long enough to experiment and get Results.
