Did you know we do more than Group Training? Check out the story below about Patricia in our semi-private/Personal Training groups!

Patricia Peters Story

For Patricia Peters, starting her journey with us just eight months ago is something that has skyrocketed her health and left her seeing noticeable changes. At the age of 78, Pat joined RPT after the recommendation of a family member. She saw them enjoying the classes and knew it would be worth a try. A member of our semi-private program, Pat experienced some set backs prior to joining RPT after undergoing back surgery years ago.

After the surgery, she didn’t find her time spent in the gym to be helpful because she didn’t have a trainer guiding her in her exercises. Going through physical therapy helped, but she knew she needed something more in order to reach her goals of maintaining her weight, improving her stamina, and improving her balance. She remembers feeling so worn down by not seeing and feeling results, which she has now forgotten about because of how wonderful she feels. “While I won’t stop the aging, I feel wonderful since I stepped into RPT,” Pat shared.

Noticeable Differences

From her time with RPT, Pat has noticed herself feeling better with increased energy and confidence in what she sees in the mirror. She has also noticed improvements with her flexibility as well as her ability to work on her balance and on the TRX which she wasn’t able to do much of when she first began. She feels stronger and that she is more in control of her day, which are great side effects of exercise that go far beyond the number on a scale. Her family notices this difference in her energy levels as well, which is great proof that her hard work is paying off.

Our Trainers and Community

What sets RPT apart from anything else she has tried is our focus on monitoring how each client is performing the exercises in the semi-private class. Pat has also noticed an improvement in her back pain because of this close monitoring. “I’m so impressed,” Pat shared. She feels that the sessions are extremely efficient and that after a short time with us, she found herself with less back pain and standing taller! She found that the trainers helped her modify for injuries in a way that was nice and unobtrusive to what she was doing.

When it comes to the community, Pat loves the comfortable atmosphere at RPT. “I have had people give me a thumbs up on days where I do better with balance,” Pat said, showing that other members notice her improvements in areas she was struggling in just as she does. She likes that others in the group are supportive and non judgemental.

Our Nutrition Program

Pat has also used our nutrition program, which she joined right around Christmas. While at first she thought joining at that time would be a bad idea, she quickly realized how great it would be for her health. “I learned that I wasn’t dieting, I was CHOOSING healthy,” Pat shared. She found herself reminded to eat slowly, practice portion control, and eat healthier. She loved that it wasn’t restricting but rather just reminding her the small changes she could make to see an impact.

We’re so excited about all the progress that Pat has made with us and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. She is proof that injuries, past surgeries, and age shouldn’t stand in your way when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.
