☑️ Boot Camp Injuries?! How is RPT Different?

Warning! This topic always seems to get people a little upset 🙂 I can see the unsubscribes going up in 3, 2, and who cares so…..

We get a lot of people coming to us from other boot camps and crossfit places after getting injured. I see it ALL the time. I will talk about a few reasons why they are getting hurt. I will explain what makes RPT different.

These places have some positives. A fitness community, people working hard, and accountability. They can work out well for some people.

I used the  boot camp term for marketing purposes years back, even though what we do is group personal training. Now, a lot of places describe their boot camps as group personal training. But 30+ people in a room is not personal training.

The go hard or go home mindset  causes a lot of injuries. People often tell me they don’t offer enough modifications for their injuries and fitness level. The adrenaline rush has its positives and negatives. It is possible to push a little too hard, especially for those getting back into the swing of things.

Group training is not for everyone. Even though we have lots of levels and modifications in our groups, I recommend personal and semi private for some people. If you have the mindset that you must keep up with the person next to you, then I will tell you the group is not a good fit. If you ignore our recommendations for low impact variations or modifications, then group is not for you.

We have 3 services – group training(5 to 12 people), semi private (2 to 5 people), and then our 1 on 1 training. We have some people that use personal or semi private to help them transition to group training.

We like to start things off with a free 1 on 1 consultation. We dive into your goals, exercise history, schedule, budget, everything. I am not going to let you go into a service that is not a good fit.

Our groups offer way more attention than the large fitness boot camps. All of our personal trainers know your injuries, goals, and will be able to help you modify in the group setting.
