So your goal is to get in shape?! Should you find people who are already in shape and listen to whatever they say? This usually does not work out well!
Fitness professionals need to practice what they preach. It’s way more complicated than copying people who are in good shape.
A lot of people who are already in shape survive horrible training methods. Most of them used other methods to develop a strong foundation. They are not even making progress on the methods!
If you are not in shape, those horrible training methods will just injure and frustrate you. You might make progress for a few weeks and then plateau.

You need to research trainer qualifications –
There are about 90 million certifications out there. A lot of these trainers have certifications they can get online after studying for about a week or two. Some have degrees, others do not.
Having a high quality certification or degree does not mean they are a good fit for you. But you need to do some research on if they have the basics covered. Review their experience and who they work with.
The gyms and influencers are great at marketing and building community –
Being great at marketing is not a bad thing at all. You need to realize that a lot of these big businesses are more focused on making a dollar than helping you safely get results.
There is something wrong with fake marketing and lies. If they promise overnight results, it’s a scam. It’s crazy how so many are taking drugs and extreme methods, then act like it’s their training or diet that makes it work.
