5 Workout Mistakes?!

Bad Technique – One of the Most Common Workout Mistakes

You will not get results if you are making common workout mistakes, such as doing the exercises wrong! If you are taking the time to exercise, hire a professional to review your technique. This will speed up results and keep you from getting injured while working out.

Lack of a Warm-Up, Mobility, and Flexibility

It’s a bad idea to skip the warm-up or cool down! Your body needs more than 5 minutes on a treadmill before going to lift weights or perform. The warm-up will help prepare your body for a great workout while reducing injuries.

We like to focus on a dynamic warm-up. Exercises that will not only warm up your muscles and joints, but will improve mobility and flexibility. Even 5 to 10 minutes will go a long way if you choose the best movements for your body.

Mobility and flexibility training helps everything! It improves strength training by allowing you to move through a larger range of motion. Those partial squats become a deep squat, and now you are able to hit the glutes and hamstrings more versus just the quads.

Not Finding the Intensity Sweet Spot

You will not get results if you are just going through the motions. You must work hard!

You will not get results if you go from 0 to 100 intensity overnight! You will end up injured.

We help you develop a plan that progresses over time. A plan that is perfect for your current fitness level and body type.

Wrong Type of Cardio for Your Body Type

Some of you can run. Others will get injured just looking at someone running on TV.

It’s not that complicated. We need to find a way to keep your heart rate elevated for an extended period of time. A million ways to safely do this. We can help you find the best form of cardio for your body type.

Lifting is NOT Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, or CrossFit

Some people get intimidated by strength training and never get started. They have this vision of bodybuilders and powerlifters in their head. They have seen these new hardcore gyms with people screaming and taking pics of themselves between every set. Yeah, those gyms are scary to most people. We are not like those gyms.

Strength training is NOT a sport, unless you choose to make it one. We focus on functional movements that carry over to your day-to-day life. We make sure you can master your bodyweight and use functional exercises and equipment. It’s about being able to get results and perform in your day-to-day life.
