I get this question a lot! Here is my answer…
It depends! Let me explain…
Who Benefits from Big Gyms?
Most of these bigger gyms work out well for those who are already in shape. Those who already know what they are doing.
Who Might Struggle at Big Gyms?
They usually don’t work out well for those who are new to fitness and have no clue what they are doing. Most of these individuals will get intimidated walking into these big gyms. They usually stick to the same boring routine, motivation decreases, and then they stop going.

The Business Model of Big Gyms
Think about their business model. They are designed for people who will never use the gym! Yes, that is who they are going after. They have a low price point knowing that most people will not even contact them to end their memberships. Could you imagine if everyone showed up!! They know it will NEVER happen.
Positives of Big Gyms
It is not all negative when it comes to these gyms. They work out very well for those who travel a lot and need access to gyms. They work out great for those who already have an idea of what they are doing.
Our Approach to Fitness
We train a lot of people who belong to bigger gyms while also purchasing personal training sessions with us. We have program design services where we write out your workouts, show you great technique, and then set you up to be independent. I even have some online and virtual coaching clients we work with. This gives them the confidence and knowledge to use the gym or workout at home.
